The museum has a new intern for the 2015 summer months.
Sean is a grad student at UMass Amherst in the Public History Program, and we have an internship agreement with him and his advising professor David Glassberg to work with us in summer 2015 from Jun 22 – Sept 30, 2015. Sean’s project is to work on an outdoor interpretive plan focused on waterpower and the environment. He will develop an outline for a plan that will showcase the changing use of waterpower over time, the particular interaction between the armory building and its environment, and the ways in which the watershed has shaped, and been shaped by, local industry. The plan will include a list of major themes and resources, recommendations for interpretive techniques to use on the site (could be signage, walking tour, interactives, etc.), and a draft narrative script.
