The Machine Shops on Mill Brook

This exhibit provided an orientation to the 1846 Robbins and Lawrence Armory, the museum site, and an introduction to the various entities that operated in the armory from the Robbins and Lawrence era until the building became a museum in 1966.

Using maps, photographs, and machine tools, the exhibit traced the use of the building over time. The exhibit explored the context of the manufacturing history of the town of Windsor, particularly the immediate neighborhood surrounding the museum.
